There was a time very long ago when opening a company was a unexplored relatively new process. When you take a look back to colonial times there were not very many businesses. The town baker did not have much competition as he was probably the only baker around. Fast forward to today and small business has become very big business. Small companies are now started so frequently that there are small business templates available when starting a business or performing a certain function within a company.
There are templates out there today to help a person through the whole process of starting their new ventures. If you take a look at franchises available today many of them open each and every store a certain way. This helps there investors streamline certain functions and cut down on their costs. If you do something the same way every time you can generally do it much quicker and often times save a lot of money at the same time.
Small stores where ownership still remains in the hands of larger corporations are well known for following some sort of template. They are able to benefit even more than an individual store because the corporation is the owner of many small store fronts. A lot of times they can anticipate the creation of new store fronts and buy in bulk. This saves them even more money. By creating cookie cutter stores they are able to perform the same function and save a bunch of time.
An individual who creates a company will most likely follow some sort of protocol as well. Legally a company is created and registered in the same way. People go about opening a store the same way because over time and through a lot of trial and error and has become the quickest and easiest way to go about it. A sole proprietor may find it very helpful to talk to some one who has been where they are and figure out just how that person became successful.
